  • Decided to get a puppy. Sacrifice sleep for several months because puppies wake up at the crack of dawn


  • Decide to get a puppy. Sacrifice money because puppies and dogs require medical care, flea prevention, heart worm prevention, vaccines, etc.


  • Decide to get a puppy. Realize that you cannot stay the extra hour shopping or partying or working because a live animal is entirely dependent on you for its survival and mental stability. If your puppy chewed your favorite shoes while you were gone, its YOUR fault for not putting your shoes away and engaging your dog in more appropriate activities before you left the house.


  • Decide to get a puppy. Sacrifice (as you should) the propensity for your own laziness or over-consumption that dwells inside your soul. If you have a drinking or drug issue, don’t use a puppy to overcome your addictions.


  • Decide to get a puppy. Master mental fortitude and self-discipline to improve your life and train your dog CONSISTENTLY.


If you lack an ability to commit to anything, please don’t get a dog.


If you lack an ability to train your dog fifteen minutes a day, don’t get a dog.


Specific qualities must be inherent inside you to begin with if you want to get a puppy and raise it successfully.



These are some basic and blunt guidelines to consider when making the decision to get a puppy. There will be ups and downs, so the the more stable YOU are as a person, the more stable your pup will be as it grows into adulthood.
